“ Growers are becoming aware of the new transport regulations in each State requiring the turf rolls or slabs to be constrained on pallets when being trucked.

The accompanying article set out the correct pattern of wrapping required .  Let’s look at a wrapped pallet :

  1. You will notice that the approved pattern conforms to the result achieved by using netting on your pallets.
  2. Considering the value of a pallet of turf nowadays , wrapping could easily be regarded as a form of insurance.
  3. And a wrapped pallet also presents the whole package in a neat way.
  4. Add a netted pallet holds the turf together during the “push off “ process.

Here is the recent article from the Turf Australia Magazine, which covers the new requirements.
